Order-book management for equities
In the capacity of a specialist, we manage the order books of around 5,000 equities on the Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover, Berlin, and Munich Stock Exchanges. Our specialists fix the prices and guarantee liquidity, and they also make sure that the shares are tradable at all times. One of the areas in which we have particular expertise is foreign stocks. Our focus here is the US and Asian markets, as well as commodities and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
Order-book management for investment funds
Since 2003, open-ended investment funds can be traded on the stock exchange in the same way as shares. mwb fairtrade is one of the forerunners in this relatively new and steadily growing market segment. We currently manage over 2,000 investment funds on the Hamburg and Munich Stock Exchanges. This makes our company one of the major brokers in German funds trading.
Order-book management for fixed-income securities
The order books for around 4,600 bonds are being managed by us on the Berlin, Hamburg, and Hanover Stock Exchanges. In Hamburg and Hanover, mwb fairtrade is the sole specialist for fixed-income securities. The involvement with bonds is an example of our carefully considered risk strategy: in times when equities become less attractive, interest in bonds automatically rises.
Sales & execution
Institutional investors traditionally allocate their trading activities to external service providers. mwb fairtrade AG has been one of these select specialists for many years already. In our office in Frankfurt am Main, we assist institutional investors such as insurance companies, funds, or investment companies with their securities transactions.
Order execution
Order execution is another area that is often outsourced. Since many smaller banks no longer have their own trading departments, their buying and selling orders are put in the hands of experienced and knowledgeable partners. Due mainly to its flexibility, mwb fairtrade was quickly able to establish itself in this market segment.
