DGAP-Adhoc: mwb Wertpapierhandelsbank AG makes a public buyback offer

Gräfelfing, November 13, 2007 - The Managing Board of mwb
Wertpapierhandelsbank AG (ISIN DE0006656101) decided today to make its
shareholders a public buyback offer for up to 380,000 no-par value bearer
shares, representing approximately 7.63% of the company's current capital
stock. This offer is valid from Friday, November 16, 2007 until Friday,
November 30, 2007 at 12 noon. During this time, shareholders in the company
may offer up their shares for repurchase.
The purchase price of EUR 5.50 per share offered by the company takes into
account the requirements on setting the purchase price contained in the
authorization granted at the general shareholders' meeting on July 26,
2007. According to this, the offer price for shares not purchased via the
stock-market may not be more than 10% above or below the market price of
the shares at the closing auction of XETRA trading on the third day of
trading prior to the offer being made. The market price of the shares at
the closing auction of XETRA-trading on the third day of trading prior to
the offer, i.e. November 12, 2007, was EUR 5.11. The offer price of EUR
5.50 for mwb shares thereby includes a premium of approx. 7.63% and
therefore does not exceed the stock-market closing price of EUR 5.11 by
more than 10%.

Bundesanzeiger and on the website of mwb Wertpapierhandelsbank AG at
http://www.mwb.de. This publicizing will take place on November 15, 2007.
