EQS-Adhoc: MWB Wertpapierhandelshaus AG - Acquisition/Letter of Intent

Gräfelfing/Munich, January 26, 2006. MWB Wertpapierhandelshaus AG intends
to acquire a 100% interest in Berlin-based C.J. Diederich
Wertpapierhandelsgesellschaft mbH. The acquisition, which is to be
retroactive as of January 1, 2006, is still subject to the approval of
MWB's Supervisory Board.

Diederich GmbH is a Berlin-based specialist company focusing on
fixed-income securities. It currently supports arround 1,000 order books in
the segments Amtlicher Handel (official trading), Geregelter Markt
(regulated market) and Freiverkehr (OTC). To date, the company's sole
shareholder has been the former official exchange broker Claus Jürgen
Diederich, who is active at the Berlin-Bremen Stock Exchange since 1969.

This step reinforces MWB AG's specialist business, and allows it to enter
the fixed-income trading/fixed-income order-book management segment.
